ALL HORSES AND JOCKEYS MUST FOLLOW THESE PROCEDURES!
1. Horses should be found in their assigned saddling stall 30 minutes prior to post time. Saddling stalls are given out to horses with certain posts. (Ex: Horse in post 1 will get stall 1, etc.)
2. Jockeys, if attending, should remain lined up in the paddock and await their mounts to come from the saddling barn.
3. Horses will come from the barn when the emit is given. The emit will normally say, "All racehorses in race #--, please report to the paddock.". This is where jockeys will mount up and then be brought over to the starting gates.
4. If I feel like it, an emit with a small profile of each horse will be given out to the audience. This will give them a chance to decide on which horse they would like to bet on.
5. Five minutes will be granted for betting, and then horses will be loaded into the gaits.
6. Once all gates are securely shut, everyone within the dream should remain silent and still. Horses will run from the gates once the front gates open and the bell rings.
7. As stated in the race's thread, horses will run the appropriate distance. In sprints, they will run directly to the wire and stop. In "full length" races, they will cross the wire once, and then go around the track until they reach the wire a second time.
8. Placements will be announced, and then the winner will be called into the winner's circle.
